Flow Dry Technology Renovates Flow-Dry® Packaged Desiccant Production Area

Flow Dry Technology is renovating and remodeling 11,000 square feet of plant space to provide improved production flow, organization, capacity, and cleanliness for Flow-Dry® Packaged Desiccant production.

This renovation will meet the expanding needs of the automotive market for components used in receiver dryers, accumulators, and integrated or semi-integrated condenser systems, and provide room for growth into other market segments for packaged desiccant. Drying and purifying sorbents are also used in packaging for goods transportation, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and food processing.

The improvements are taking place inside the current Brookville, Ohio facility. The current desiccant processing equipment and new equipment will be moved within the facility to the renovated space. Management expects this renovation and the equipment relocation to be complete at the end of September 2003. As with the existing production area, the new center for Flow-Dry® Packaged Desiccant production will be fully air conditioned and humidity controlled, but with improved lighting, tool storage, and inventory flow.

A portion of the investment was provided through an Economic Development Government Equity Grant from Montgomery County, Ohio. This grant was awarded to the City of Brookville, where Flow-Dry is located, and utilized to fulfill a gap in capital funding required to expand the business.
