BROOKVILLE, OH (August 19, 2005) -- Flow Dry Technology, Ltd., a leading manufacturer of desiccant bags, cartridges and assemblies, has improved their products by adding Tracer Wafer to eliminate costly, messy maintenance to air conditioning systems.

"Our desiccant packages offer customers three-in-one benefits," said Doug LeConey, President of Flow Dry Technology. "They provide outstanding drying capability to protect the air conditioning system from harmful moisture. Our patented filter medias eliminate the need for a separate filter. And now, the addition of a Tracer Wafer to the package eliminates the need for service technicians to inject messy dyes to find AC leaks."

The yellow disk Tracer Wafer is manufactured and supplied to Flow Dry by Spectronics Corporation. The wafer is impregnated with a fluorescent leak detection dye that is released after the system is closed and charged with refrigerant and lubricant. Vehicles that use Flow Dry desiccant packages with the Tracer Wafer technology make it easy for the repair shop mechanic to open the hood and use a UV or UV/Blue light inspection lamp to find potential leaks. This method can often be quicker, easier, and more cost effective than other diagnostic tools.
